This is a family-friendly event to raise funds for the Billy Cordova Memorial Park & Chaffee County Fire Rescue! We honor Billy Cordova, a man who left an impact with everyone he met. Billy was a husband, father, and son before anything else – he loved spending time with his family! Beyond that, he served on many roles as a Battalion Chief with Chaffee County Fire Department, a reserve deputy with Chaffee County Sherriff’s Department, a volunteer enforcement officer with the Division of Wildlife, and he was a volunteer with Chaffee County Search & Rescue. What’s more, Billy loved big equipment and owned Marv’s Construction Company.

Our 5K and Family Fun Run will start and finish at BV Rodeo Grounds, and the course will travel to, and through, the location for the park. The 5K will have a 3.1 mile course, and the Family Fun Run will have a 1.5 mile course. Runners will wind through the Sunset Vista neighborhood, back to the BV Rodeo Grounds for a grand finish! This run is stroller friendly! There may be a few bumpy sections on trail, but overall it’s very smooth. Littles who ride along in strollers need not register. ​
